Greetings! My name is Carol Savory, and I am a proud teacher residing in the vibrant community of 43 Lima Sands, Anna in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of our beautiful country, I have always cherished the rich cultural diversity that defines us—from the rhythm of our folk songs to the fragrant spices in our beloved pepperpot and cook-up rice. My passion for education is deeply rooted in the desire to inspire the next generation while sharing the stories and traditions that make our homeland so unique.
I am also connected to the Guyanese diaspora, understanding the challenges and triumphs faced by many of our kin abroad.
