Hello! I’m Lester Castello, a proud Guyanese miner living in the beautiful village of Barima-Waini. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of the rainforest and the majestic rivers that flow through our land, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the natural resources that Guyana offers. The vibrant culture of our people is a source of pride for me, and nothing brings us together more than the shared love for our local dishes, especially curry chicken and curry goat, which are staples at family gatherings and celebrations.

I take pride in being Guyanese and strive to keep our culture alive, whether through cooking traditional meals or sharing stories with newcomers about our stunning landscapes like the Essequibo River or our vibrant festivals.
