Hello! My name is Celina Singh, and I proudly call Essequibo 4 Present Hope East my home. Nestled in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I am surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities that define our beloved Guyana. From the breathtaking Kaieteur Falls to the tranquil Pomeroon River, I draw inspiration from the natural beauty and rich culture that our country offers.
As a resident of this stunning area, I cherish the flavors of our local cuisine, particularly the hearty dishes like pepperpot and metemgee that remind me of family gatherings and community celebrations. I believe that our unique Creole culture, which we speak with pride, adds color and depth to our everyday lives. Engaging with the Guyanese diaspora is also important to me, as it strengthens our connection to each other and to the land we hold dear, even from afar.
Through my experiences and connections, I aim to celebrate the spirit of our people and the potential that lies within our nation. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
