Hello! I am Chateram Bhola, a proud Guyanese labourer residing in Bank Essequibo, specifically in the vibrant North New Scheme area of Pomeroon-Supenaam. My roots run deep in this beautiful land where the Essequibo River weaves through our communities, and the rich culture of Guyana comes alive in every festival, gathering, and meal. Whether it’s sharing a plate of pepperpot during Christmas or enjoying a bowl of metemgee on a Sunday, food is truly a centerpiece of our Guyanese lifestyle.
Growing up in Guyana, surrounded by the lush greenery and the sounds of the many creeks and rivers, has instilled in me a strong connection to nature and my heritage. I take pride in the warmth of our people, from the lively conversations at the market to the stories exchanged under the night sky. Although I have dreams of exploring opportunities beyond our borders, the spirit of my homeland is always with me; it’s the pulse I carry as I navigate through life.
