Greetings! Iām Compton English, a proud Guyanese from East Bank Essequibo, where the lush landscape of Pomeroon-Supenaam holds a special place in my heart. As a dedicated labourer, I firmly believe in the strength of hard work, much like the farmers by the Pomeroon River who cultivate some of the best fruits and vegetables in our beautiful land. From the beloved pepperpot that warms holiday gatherings to the sweet taste of guyanese black cake, food has always been a central part of our celebrations, connecting us to our roots and to each other.
