Greetings from the Essequibo Coast! I’m Chauntelle Forde, a proud resident of Richmond Housing in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up in Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our rich heritage, vibrant festivals, and the warm, welcoming spirit of our communities. Whether it’s indulging in a hearty plate of pepperpot during the holidays or savoring a fresh fish curry by the river, the flavors of Guyana are a part of my daily life.
Living in a place where nature thrives, I am often reminded of our stunning landscapes—from the majestic Kaieteur Falls to the serene beaches lining our coast. The Essequibo River, a lifeline for so many, holds a special place in my heart, much like the stories passed down through generations. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
