Hello! I’m Christine Richards, a proud resident of Borada Settlement in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up in this vibrant community has filled my life with rich culture, warm smiles, and the irresistible flavors of our local cuisine. From the mouthwatering pepperpot and roti to the sweet, juicy mangoes that grow in our backyards, the food here is a true reflection of our diverse heritage and the love we have for it.
As a daughter of this land, I cherish our natural beauty—from the tranquil waters of the Pomeroon River to the lush greenery that surrounds us. I often reminisce about our traditions that connect us to home, whether it’s the sounds of the birds in the morning or the joyous celebrations during Mashramani, where we come together as one people.
