Greetings! My name is Cion Henry, and I proudly call Pom. River Grant Adventure Lower home, nestled in the vibrant region of Pomeroon-Supenaam. As a dedicated miner, I spend my days immersed in the rich natural resources of our beautiful country, which is known for its breathtaking jungles and untapped potential. Guyana, often referred to affectionately as a "female" by those who know her well, embodies resilience and beauty, and I am honored to play a part in her story.
Growing up here, I've developed a deep appreciation for our local culture, particularly our culinary delights. From the tantalizing duck curry that makes visitors' mouths water to the variety of flavors found in our traditional dishes, Guyanese food truly stands out. I often reminisce about the festive gatherings with family and friends, where laughter and delicious meals create unforgettable memories. As many from the diaspora share, there's something special about the warmth and hospitality we extend to those who come to experience our way of life.
As I navigate my career in mining, I remain hopeful for the future of Guyana. With ongoing developments and a growing community of expatriates returning to invest in our beautiful homeland, I believe we are on the brink of significant growth.
