Hello! My name is Claudelle France, and I proudly call Lower Pom. River Grant Covent Garden in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. While it can be a tough place due to the ongoing issues with corruption as mentioned by many in our diaspora, I hold onto hope and the belief that positive change is possible. I dream of a future where young professionals like myself can contribute to the development of our beloved homeland, perhaps in fields like healthcare, which so many young Guyanese aspire to enter. The passion within our community for progress is palpable, and it fuels my own ambitions.
As part of the Guyanese diaspora, I feel a deep connection to my roots. I often reminisce about the warmth of our festivals, the sounds of chutney music, and the welcoming smiles of my fellow citizens. Even when I am far from home, the pride I have in being Guyanese resonates strongly.
