In my role as a jetman, I’ve had the privilege of exploring and appreciating the natural beauty of our beloved country. The Essequibo River, pronounced “s-c-quib-bow” as the locals affectionately say, serves as a reminder of our rich heritage and the vibrant communities that flourish along its banks. I often find myself reminiscing about the laughter shared over a plate of cook-up rice or the stories exchanged beneath the starry skies of Guyana, making it clear that home is never too far away, even when I’m working abroad.
As a part of the Guyanese diaspora, I stay connected with my roots, welcoming love and support from around the world. Whether it’s sharing the beauty of our culture through social media or exchanging experiences with fellow Guyanese and friends from countries like Canada, Norway, and India, I strive to keep the spirit of Guyana alive in every interaction. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
