Hello! I’m Clement Fredericks, a proud miner hailing from the River Katowro Settlement in Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana. My roots run deep in this vibrant land where the rich, green landscapes meet the flowing rivers. Growing up here, I’ve learned the importance of community and hard work, values that guide me in both my profession and daily life.
As a miner, I embrace the rugged beauty of our natural resources, understanding their significance not just for our local economy but for the future of our nation. Many discussions in our community revolve around the political landscape, especially with the ongoing elections that will determine how we manage our newfound wealth from oil. When I’m not on the job, I love to indulge in some of my favorite local dishes, like tender cow feet curry served with yellow split peas, a true delight from our culinary heritage. Whether it's gathering with friends to enjoy a hearty meal, reminiscing about life in the Pomeroon, or sharing stories of our homeland with the diaspora, I take pride in being a son of Guyana, constantly striving to connect with my culture and its people, no matter where they are.
Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
