Hello! My name is Constance Parris, and I proudly call Anna Regina in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region my home. As a lifelong resident of Guyana, I am deeply passionate about sharing the vibrant culture and rich heritage of our beautiful country. From the lush landscapes of the Essequibo River to the bustling markets filled with fresh produce and local delicacies, I find inspiration in every corner of my community.
Growing up surrounded by the fragrances of pepperpot and metemgee, I have developed a love for Guyanese cuisine that I enjoy sharing with friends and family, whether in my home or during gatherings at local events. I believe that food is a powerful connector, and nothing brings people together quite like a plate of cook-up rice or a sweet slice of black cake. Furthermore, with the recent developments in our country, including the influx of oil money, I am hopeful for a future where our infrastructure can improve while still preserving the unique character of our culture.
