Hello, I’m Cynthia Jagmohan, a proud resident of Lodge Essequibo Coast, located on the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Guyana has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich culture and traditions. Whether I'm enjoying a plate of pepperpot for breakfast or sipping on some sweet, homemade sorrel during the holidays, I cherish the flavors that connect us all—both here and in the diaspora.
Our land is more than just a home; it’s a lively canvas filled with the hustle of market days, the sounds of laughter from children playing, and the warmth of neighbors coming together. I often reflect on the profound beauty of our rivers and the importance of our agricultural heritage. I can't help but reminisce about the simple joys of swinging in a hammock while watching the ducks forage in the yard, a picture of peaceful retirement that many of us aspire to.
