Greetings! Iām Cyril Balram, a proud labourer from the beautiful Bank Essequibo Railway Embankment in Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage of our land, I have developed a deep appreciation for the vibrant communities and traditions that make our country unique. From the bustling markets to the serene banks of the Essequibo River, every corner of Guyana tells a story. I believe that our land is indeed a "Land of Promise," as echoed by many in our diaspora.
One of my greatest joys is sharing our culinary treasures, like the beloved pepper pot paired with puri, with friends and family. Food is an integral part of our culture, and it brings us together, whether we are celebrating a special occasion or just enjoying a casual meal. As we look to the future, I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for Guyana, particularly with the newfound oil wealth that has the potential to transform our nation. I hold a firm belief that Guyana is on the verge of becoming one of the richest countries in the world, and Iām eager to witness this progress.
