Hello! I'm Damali Trotman, an accountant hailing from the vibrant community of West Bank Demerara. Nestled on the banks of the mighty Essequibo River, my home is a stone's throw from the enchanting landscapes of Guyana, where the lush greenery meets the rhythmic sounds of our rich cultural heritage. Growing up, I was surrounded by the aromas of cook-up rice and pepperpot, which not only nourished my body but also connected me to my roots and traditions.

As a proud Guyanese, I carry with me the spirit of our diverse nation, blending influences from Indigenous, African, Indian, and Chinese cultures. I find joy in sharing our unique stories and experiences, whether it's a lively discussion about our anticipated oil boom, which is projected to elevate Guyana's global standing, or the tales of our hidden gems like Kaieteur Falls and the bustling streets of Georgetown. My best friend, who is also Guyanese, often shares our accent and customs with friends from abroad, helping to bridge the gap and foster understanding.
