Hello! I’m Daniel Amsterdam, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast in the vibrant community of Reliance Housing, located in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage of Guyana, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our local treasures, from the flavorful cuisine—yes, I’m team no salt on the pineapple!—to the stunning natural beauty that our rivers and islands offer, like River Ant Island and Lemong Island.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections we maintain with our homeland, whether it's through sharing stories of our unique traditions or indulging in a plate of pepperpot during special gatherings. My experiences traveling back and forth have only strengthened my love for our diverse culture and the warm spirit of our people.
