Greetings! My name is Darrell Pearson, and I proudly call Coast 1 Public Road Reliance in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of beautiful Guyana my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant culture of this diverse nation has molded my identity. From enjoying a plate of pepperpot during family gatherings to fishing along the Pomeroon River, my experiences are deeply rooted in our rich traditions and the warmth of our community. Whether it’s celebrating Mashramani or enjoying the sweet sounds of local chutney music, I cherish every moment that connects me to my heritage.
Having spent significant time in the diaspora, I am grateful for the opportunities to share our unique culture with others. It was a joy to see the excitement of fellow Guyanese when they caught a glimpse of our maden flight from Toronto to Georgetown. It's moments like these that remind me of the strong bonds we share, no matter where life takes us.
