Hello! My name is Urla Pearson, and I proudly call the beautiful region of Pomeroon-Supenaam my home, specifically along the vibrant Coast 1 Public Road at Reliance. Growing up here, I have developed a deep appreciation for our lush landscapes, such as the Kairimap Creek, and the breathtaking beauty of Kaieteur Falls, which I believe is a treasure that every Guyanese should experience at least once. My roots are firmly planted in the rich culture of our land, where we celebrate life's moments with the delicious flavors of our traditional dishes like pepper pot and dhal puri, often enjoyed at family gatherings.
As a resident deeply ingrained in our local community, I relish the joys of our diverse heritage, where every festival, from Mashramani to Diwali, brings us together in shared celebration. It's heartening to see how our diaspora maintains connections with the homeland, sharing stories and experiences that keep our culture alive.
