Greetings! My name is David Owens-Jr, and I am proud to call the vibrant community of Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a Pastor, my mission is to uplift and inspire those around me, guiding them towards faith and community togetherness. My journey is deeply rooted in the rich cultural heritage of Guyana, where the aroma of culinary delights like pepperpot and cook-up rice fills the air, and the lush landscapes along the Pomeroon River serve as the backdrop to our daily lives.
Having embraced the beauty of our natural surroundings, from the serene banks of River Takatu Creek to the lively spirit of Phoenix Park, I find inspiration in the simple yet profound connections we share as a community. Guyana's diverse culture is reflected in our traditions and warm-hearted people, and I strive to embody that spirit in every aspect of my work. As many in the diaspora know, no meal compares to the flavors found right here at home, where food is a celebration of life and love.
In my role as a spiritual leader, I cherish the opportunity to serve not just within my local community, but also to connect with Guyanese abroad. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
