From childhood memories of fishing along the riverbanks to the fragrant aroma of curry wafting through the air, my connection to this land runs deep.
Growing up in this beautiful area, I’ve developed a genuine appreciation for our local cuisine, especially the mouthwatering dhal puri roti, which is best enjoyed dipped in curry, just like the true Guyanese way! I often reminisce about the laughter shared over meals with family and friends, and I cherish the warmth of our community spirit that transcends borders. The tales of our ancestors from places like Warakabra and the Pomeroon River continue to inspire me, reminding me of the strength and resilience that define us.
