Greetings! I’m Deanna Williams, a proud resident of Hope Essequibo Coast in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes and rich traditions of the Essequibo, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our unique culture, from the rhythm of the local folk music to the delicious flavors of our home-cooked meals. There's nothing quite like savoring a plate of pepperpot or cook-up rice, a staple that brings families together, especially during special occasions.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I am passionate about addressing the challenges we face back home, including environmental issues and the need for improved public services.
