Life in Pomeroon is characterized by the warmth of its people and the beauty of our natural surroundings. I am particularly fond of the Upper Pom River, where memories come alive—whether it’s fishing with family at Mapri Creek or enjoying the tranquility near Waiwaro Creek. Being part of this community means sharing stories, traditions, and of course, our cherished dishes like pepperpot and metemgee that bring us all together, whether at home or across the diaspora.
