Greetings! My name is Debra Persaud, and I proudly call Essequibo my home. Nestled in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I cherish the rich cultural heritage and natural beauty that surrounds me. From the stunning Kaieteur Falls to the serene waterways of the Essequibo River, my life is intertwined with the lush landscapes and vibrant communities that define our beautiful country. As a resident, I take great pride in our diverse traditions, particularly our culinary delights like pepperpot and roti, which are often shared during family gatherings and celebrations.
As part of the Guyanese diaspora, I understand the importance of staying connected to our roots.
