Greetings! I'm Del-Andreié Alphanso, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast, living on the vibrant 19 Public Road in Windsor, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in this beautiful region, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our rich cultural heritage, which includes the delicious flavors of our local cuisine—nothing beats a plate of pepper pot or curry with roti, especially during family gatherings. My roots run deep in Guyana, where the lush landscapes of Upper Pom River and the serene beauty of Karawab Bay remind me of the simple joys of life. I take pride in our diverse culture, where each ethnic group contributes to the uniqueness of our society, from the indigenous peoples to our Indo-Guyanese and Afro-Guyanese communities. It’s disheartening to see our nation often overlooked by outsiders; many still don’t know the beauty and warmth that Guyana has to offer. I believe it’s essential to showcase our hidden gems, from the magnificent Kaieteur Falls to the bustling markets where you can find local crafts and fresh tropical fruits.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I remain connected to my homeland, even from afar.
