Hello! My name is Delon Christiani, and I proudly call the vibrant region of Pomeroon in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes and winding rivers, I have developed a deep appreciation for the rich cultural heritage that defines our community. From the bustling markets filled with fresh produce to the serene banks of the Pomeroon River, every corner of my hometown has shaped who I am today.
As a resident of this beautiful area, I cherish the flavors of our local cuisine. There's nothing quite like the joy of savoring a snow cone drizzled with sweet condensed milk on a hot day or indulging in a perfect eggball from a roadside vendor. These simple pleasures remind me of the warmth of our community and the joy of gathering with friends and family to share stories and laughter. The spirit of Pomeroon is alive in every bite!
Although I may be far from my roots at times, my heart remains tied to Pomeroon. I can’t wait to reconnect with familiar faces and places, like the Mora Settlement or River Grant Canan Lower, when I return. Whether it’s reminiscing about childhood adventures or trying to capture the essence of home in my work, I am proud to represent the heart and soul of Guyana, no matter where life takes me.
Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
