Hello! I’m Delon Smith, a dedicated logger residing in the beautiful Lower Pomeroon River area on Lemong Island, Wakapau. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Pomeroon-Supenaam, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and rich culture that defines our region. From the mouthwatering aroma of fresh fish curry to the lively rhythms of our traditional songs, life here is a blend of hard work and celebration.
As a proud Guyanese, I often reflect on the strong ties we share with our diaspora, especially with neighbors like Suriname. Many of my friends and family members have ventured abroad, but the memories of our riverside gatherings and shared meals keep us connected.
