Hello! I’m Delroy Stoll, a proud resident of the Lower Pomeroon River region, specifically Hackney Lower in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in this vibrant area, surrounded by the lush greenery and the mighty Pomeroon River, has deeply influenced who I am. I cherish the warm sense of community here, where stories are shared over fresh dishes of pepperpot and cook-up rice, and where the rich traditions of our Indigenous peoples mingle with those from our diverse diaspora. I often reminisce fondly about the flavors of our local dishes, as well as the vibrant stories shared by elders—each recounting their journey, whether it be from the Upper Pomeroon River or beyond, serving to strengthen our bonds as a community.
