Hello! My name is Dennis Ramlagan, and I am a proud Guyanese painter based in Coast 7 Public Road, Reliance, in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up in Guyana has deeply influenced my work, as I often draw inspiration from the lush landscapes and vibrant culture that surround me. Whether it’s the serene Pomeroon River or the bustling markets filled with fresh fruits like pomerac and cassava, I strive to capture the essence of my homeland on canvas.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections I have with people around the world who share my love for Guyana. It brings me joy to see others discover our rich heritage, from the mouthwatering dishes of pepperpot and metemgee to the rhythmic sounds of our folk music. I often reminisce about the laughter and warmth of my fellow Guyanese, whether we’re discussing our home or sharing a hearty meal together. One love, as we say!
