Hello! I’m Deon Frederick, a proud Guyanese labourer hailing from the vibrant area of 80 Red Village in Siriki, Pomeroon-Supenaam. My heart belongs to the lush landscapes and rich culture of Guyana, where the Pomeroon River flows gracefully, connecting our communities. Growing up surrounded by the beauty of our local flora and fauna, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the land that sustains us and the traditions that bind us together.
In my spare time, I love indulging in our local delicacies, like pepperpot and cook-up rice, which remind me of family gatherings and the warmth of home. Whether it's a celebration or just a casual get-together, food plays a pivotal role in our culture, and I take pride in sharing these experiences with friends and family. I’m also an active part of the diaspora community, connecting with fellow Guyanese around the world to celebrate our heritage and discuss the issues we face back home.
Despite the challenges that come with being away from our beloved homeland, I remain hopeful for a brighter future for Guyana. I firmly believe that we can create positive change together, nurturing our communities and fostering a sense of unity among all Guyanese, whether in the lush banks of the Pomeroon or beyond.
