Living in the vibrant community of Zorg-en-Vlyt, I find joy in the simple pleasures of life, from preparing traditional Guyanese dishes like pepperpot and cook-up rice to enjoying sunny afternoons by the Pomeroon River. The rich culture and warm-hearted people of Guyana inspire me every day, reminding me of the importance of family and community.
As a dedicated housewife, I cherish the opportunity to nurture my family and contribute to our local traditions, such as celebrating Phagwah and Mashramani. These events not only bring neighbors together but also connect us to our roots and the wider diaspora community. Whether it’s sharing a laugh over a plate of fresh cassava pone or discussing our homeland’s future, I strive to keep our culture alive both here in Guyana and among our friends abroad.
