Greetings from the beautiful Essequibo Coast! My name is Deslyn Cox, and I’m proud to call Pomeroon-Supenaam home. Nestled along the banks of the Pomeroon River, my neighborhood is a vibrant blend of rich culture, stunning landscapes, and warm-hearted people. Growing up here, I’ve always been surrounded by the flavors of our local cuisine—whether it’s the mouthwatering cook-up rice or the sweet, rich taste of black cake during our festive celebrations. There’s nothing quite like sharing a meal with family and friends under the Caribbean sun.
As a resident deeply connected to my roots, I cherish the stories of our ancestors and the traditions that keep our community thriving. From the hustle and bustle of the market in Charity to the serene beauty of the nearby Cocorite Landing, every corner of my hometown has a tale to tell. I believe in the beauty of sharing these experiences with the Guyanese diaspora, who carry our culture far and wide, and I am passionate about showcasing the splendor of our land to the world.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
