Hello! I’m Mignan Toney, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast, right on 72 Centenary Street in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of beautiful Guyana. My heart is deeply rooted in this vibrant land, where the lush greenery meets the flowing rivers. Growing up here, I've developed a genuine appreciation for our local culture, especially our delicious cuisine. Whether it’s a plate of spicy pepperpot or the sweet, juicy taste of our homegrown pineapples, the flavors of Guyana are a part of my daily life.
As a lifelong resident, I've witnessed the changes in our community, especially with the recent oil discoveries and what it means for our future. I often connect with the diaspora, who bring a wealth of experience and support from around the globe.
