Hello! I’m Devanan Persaud, a proud Guyanese laborer residing on Coast 17 Second Street in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up in this vibrant area, I’ve always been surrounded by the rich culture of Guyana—where the rhythms of the steel pan fuse with the serene sounds of the Pomeroon River. My heart beats to the pulse of our diverse communities, where every meal is a celebration, whether it’s a fragrant plate of pepperpot on Christmas morning or a Sunday bake with family and friends.
As someone deeply connected to my roots, I enjoy sharing stories and experiences with fellow Guyanese and the diaspora, who carry a piece of our homeland wherever they go.
