Hello! My name is Devi Ramlochan, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast my home. Nestled along the Sand Pit Road in Pomeroon-Supenaam, I cherish the vibrant culture and rich traditions that define our beautiful Guyana. As a housewife, my days are filled with the warmth of family gatherings, where we often enjoy delicious local dishes like pepperpot and cook-up rice, celebrating our unique heritage.
Growing up in Guyana, I developed a deep appreciation for our stunning landscapes, from the lush greenery of the Lower Pom River Grant Green Field to the serene banks of the Essequibo River. These places inspire my love for nature and community, reminding me of the strong ties we share, both here and among the Guyanese diaspora around the world. As I connect with fellow Guyanese, I take pride in saying, “I am Guyanese from South America,” a testament to our unique identity.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
