As a proud housewife, I dedicate my days to nurturing my family and fostering the rich cultural heritage of our beloved Guyana. Living in Pomeroon-Supenaam, I often reminisce about the lush landscapes that surround us, from the serene banks of the Pomeroon River to the lively markets bustling with fresh produce and local crafts. Guyana's unique festivals, like Mashramani, bring together people of all ethnicities to celebrate our unity, and I cherish these moments of joy and connection. Whether it's enjoying a plate of cassava bread or sharing stories of our history, I find great fulfillment in being part of a community that values both tradition and growth.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I also feel a strong bond with fellow Guyanese around the world. I relish the stories and memories shared by others, whether it’s reminiscing about the late Janet Jagan's contributions to our nation or simply exchanging tips on creating the perfect strawberry waffles.
