Hello! I’m Devida Williams, a proud resident of the Pomeroon-Supenaam region, specifically from the beautiful Pom River’s southern bank. Growing up here, I've always been surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant culture that makes Guyana truly unique. From the tranquil waters of the Pomeroon River to the fields rich with rice and cassava, my childhood was filled with the flavors of our local cuisine, such as pepperpot and metemgee, which bring our community together.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I carry a piece of my homeland with me wherever I go. I cherish the connections I’ve made with fellow Guyanese, whether through sharing stories about Yaramai St. Monica or reminiscing about peaceful evenings by the riverbank.
