Hello! I’m Devindra Ghansyam, a proud resident of Fleece on the Essequibo Coast. Nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam, my home is a vibrant hub where the lush greenery meets the rich culture of Guyana. Growing up here, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our local traditions, from the delicious flavors of duck curry to the excitement of the annual Mashramani celebrations. As we gather for family meals, the aroma of our diverse cuisine—an eclectic mix influenced by our Indian, African, Amerindian, and Chinese heritage—fills the air, reminding me of the importance of community and connection.
Living in this beautiful part of Guyana, I often find joy in the simplicity of life along the Pomeroon River.
