Hello! My name is Devindra Arjoon, and I am proud to call the vibrant community of Bank Essequibo my home. As a farmer, I dedicate my days to cultivating the rich land of the Pomeroon-Supenaam region, where the lush greenery and bountiful resources inspire my work. From tending to crops like rice and cassava to sharing the joys of harvesting with neighbors, I find fulfillment in nurturing both the earth and my community.
Growing up surrounded by the beauty of our local rivers and the warmth of Guyanese hospitality, I cherish the cultural heritage that unites us. I believe that nothing brings people together quite like a hearty meal of pepperpot or the sweet taste of guava cheese. I often reminisce about gatherings at St. Monica and the stories shared at the riverbanks, where laughter and music echo into the evening.
