Hello! My name is Dexter Welch, and I proudly call Pomeroon-Supenaam my home, specifically the vibrant community along Coast 252 Damon Street. Growing up here, I've been deeply influenced by the rich cultural heritage of Guyana, where the aroma of spicy pepperpot and fresh fish curry fills the air, and the sounds of steelpan music echo during our many festivals. Whether it’s celebrating Mashramani or gathering for a weekend cookout, the warmth of our community always reminds me of the importance of family and tradition.
I'm passionate about sharing the beauty of Guyana with the world, especially the stunning landscapes that range from the lush rainforest to our majestic rivers. The Pomeroon River is a personal favorite, where I often find myself reflecting on the simplicity and tranquility it offers. I’ve also been inspired by the stories of our diaspora, like those who reminisce about their time studying at Stella Marys Primary School, or express their love for our homeland, reminding us that no matter where we are, Guyana remains a part of us.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
