Greetings! My name is Dhanpaul Cyril, and I proudly call the beautiful region of Pomeroon-Supenaam home, specifically the vibrant community of Coast Demerara on 45 Second Street West. As a vendor, I am passionate about sharing the rich culinary traditions of Guyana with both locals and visitors alike. You can often find me serving up delicious dishes that reflect our diverse culture, whether it’s the savory dhal puri paired with a fragrant curry or other local specialties that bring our unique flavors to life.
Growing up in this culturally rich environment has given me a deep appreciation for our local landmarks, like the serene River Grant and the lively River Two Friends Settlement. I find joy in connecting with fellow Guyanese and the diaspora, sharing stories and laughter that remind us of our roots. Our communities, whether still in Guyana or spread across the globe, hold a special bond that is strengthened through our shared experiences and love for home.
Despite the challenges we face, including socio-economic issues that affect many of us, I believe in the resilience and spirit of the Guyanese people.
