Hello! I’m Dharmendra Persaud, a proud mechanic hailing from the vibrant community of Regina Essequibo Coast in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in Guyana, I have always been surrounded by the rich flavors of our beloved cuisine, from the spicy pepperpot to the sweet delights of guava cheese. My hands have been immersed in the art of mechanics, much like the skilled craftspeople I grew up admiring, who worked diligently to keep our boats running smoothly on the mighty rivers that cradle our land.
As I navigate my career, I cherish the connection to my roots and the stories that come with it. I appreciate the stories that people share about Linden and the historical bond with Canada during World War II, as mentioned in the book "Children of Watooka." Though I now call a different place home, my spirit remains tied to the land of my birth.
