Hello! My name is Dianand Persaud, and I proudly hail from the vibrant community of Anna Regina in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. As a dedicated labourer, I embrace the hardworking spirit of my ancestors who have called this land home for generations. Living by the Pomeroon River, I find inspiration in its rich history and beauty, often reflecting on our shared stories while enjoying the local delicacies like cook-up rice and pepperpot that connect us to our roots.

I take pride in our heritage, knowing that our name, “Guyana,” is derived from the Amerindian word for “land of many waters.”
