Greetings! My name is Dilip Ramnarine, and I proudly call the lush landscapes of the Essequibo Coast my home. As a dedicated farmer, I am deeply rooted in the agricultural traditions of Guyana, where the rich earth and diverse climate allow us to cultivate everything from rice to exotic fruits. When Iām not tending to my crops, you can find me sharing stories of our vibrant culture, which is filled with the sounds of local music and the aroma of delicious dishes like pepperpot and cook-up rice.
Living in Garden, I cherish the beauty of Kairi Island and the surrounding rivers that are a lifeline for many in our community. My experiences growing up here have shaped my understanding of what it means to live a meaningful life, often enhanced by the laughter and camaraderie of neighbors and family. Like many Guyanese, I hold close the memories of my childhood and the simple pleasures of sharing a meal or a conversation with friends, which often brings us back to our roots.
