Hello! I’m Donnette Williams, a dedicated health worker based in the serene Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana, specifically in the quiet community of River Friendship Backlands. Growing up surrounded by the lush green landscapes and vibrant culture of Guyana, I have always been passionate about improving the health and well-being of my fellow Guyanese. Whether it’s sharing a plate of delicious cook-up rice or discussing the latest happenings in our community, I strive to connect with the heart of our people.
As a proud member of the Guyanese diaspora, I understand the challenges many face, both at home and abroad. With nearly half a million of us living overseas, it’s essential to maintain our cultural roots while also advocating for our beloved homeland. I often engage in conversations about our local issues, including the importance of good governance—something that resonates deeply with many of us.
