Hello! My name is Donton Edwards, and I proudly hail from the beautiful Capoey Lake in Essequibo, located in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. As a dedicated labourer, I work hard to support my community and ensure that the essence of our rich culture thrives. Life here is vibrant, filled with the sounds of the river, the warmth of our people, and the aroma of delicious local dishes like cook-up rice and pepperpot that bring us together, especially during festive gatherings.
While I am deeply rooted in my homeland, I cherish the connections I have with the Guyanese diaspora. I find joy in sharing stories and experiences with those who have traveled far and wide, just like many of my fellow countrymen who have made their homes in places like the USA and Trinidad.
