Hello! I'm Doodnaught Persaud, a dedicated mechanic based on the beautiful Coast at 122 Frampton Street, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve always had a passion for working with my hands, whether it’s fixing a vehicle or tinkering with engines. My roots run deep in this vibrant country, known for its lush landscapes, the mighty Essequibo River, and of course, the warmth of our people. There’s nothing quite like the aroma of a freshly cooked plate of roti and curry wafting through the air or the sweet taste of our famous black cake during the holidays.
Having lived both here in Guyana and abroad, I understand the value of community and the bond that connects us all, especially as part of the diaspora. No matter where we roam—be it in South Africa or elsewhere—our love for Guyana remains steadfast. I often reminisce about simple joys, like gathering with friends at the local market or sharing stories under the stars along the Pomeroon River. It’s these moments that shape who we are and how we view the world.
As I continue my work as a mechanic, I aim to contribute to the growth of our beloved Guyana. I believe that together, we can face challenges, share our cultural heritage, and celebrate our successes.
