Hello! I’m Doreen Tikaram, a proud resident of La Bagatelle on Leguan Island, nestled in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My roots run deep in this vibrant land where the lush greenery meets the gentle flow of the Pomeroon River. Growing up here has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our local culture, from the rich flavors of our cuisine—think spicy pepperpot and savory fish curry—to the warm hospitality that is the hallmark of our people.
Having lived in Guyana all my life, I cherish the close-knit community we have here.
