Greetings! I am Drupattie Ram, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast in Onderneeming, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the beauty of our waterfalls and the warmth of our community, I have developed a profound appreciation for our shared history and the friendships that bridge both black and brown communities.
In my daily life, I love to embrace the culinary delights of Guyana, often indulging in hearty meals featuring oxtail and tripe, which my family enjoys preparing together. There's something truly special about cooking with loved ones and sharing the flavors of our heritage. I also cherish those moments when I can enjoy a sweet ginip, savoring the taste of home while reminiscing about my grandmother's stories of India and her journey to our beautiful land.
As part of the Guyanese diaspora, I am deeply connected to our ongoing story of progress. I take pride in witnessing the transformation of our nation, especially with improvements like the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, which reflects our commitment to welcoming visitors and celebrating our identity.
