Hello! I’m Dwane Thomas, a dedicated labourer residing in the vibrant Coast Sand Reef Dageraad area of Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana. My roots run deep in this beautiful land, where the rich culture and lush landscapes continually inspire me. From the mouthwatering flavors of pepperpot at family gatherings to the serene beauty of the Essequibo River, every aspect of my life here resonates with the warmth of our community.
Growing up in Guyana, I’ve developed a profound respect for our wildlife and natural resources. It's disheartening to see how some countries treat their environment, but here, we strive to protect our unique ecosystems. I take pride in sharing stories about our rich heritage and the importance of preserving the culture and lands that our indigenous peoples inhabit. As a member of the Caribbean community, I believe that our shared history and experiences only make us stronger.
As much as I love my homeland, I also cherish the connections we have with the Guyanese diaspora around the world. Whether it's the love from Ethiopia or the shared memories of Upper Pom and River Piraka, these connections remind us that no matter where we are, we carry a piece of Guyana with us.
