Greetings from the beautiful Essequibo Coast! My name is Dyal Ramdass, and I proudly call the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region my home. As a carpenter by trade, I've dedicated my life to crafting not just furniture, but also building strong connections within my community. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes and rich culture of Guyana, I've always been inspired by the warmth of our people and the delicious flavors of our local cuisine, from pepperpot to metemgee.
Living along the banks of the Pomeroon River, I draw inspiration from the serene environment and the daily hustle of life here. It’s a place where neighbors become family, and a warm smile is just as common as a plate of curry and rice at a Sunday gathering. The essence of our community is reflected in traditions like the lively festivals celebrating our diverse heritage, where everyone joins in, dancing to the rhythms of soca and chutney under the stars.
Though I now find myself connected to the diaspora, my roots remain firmly planted in the soil of Guyana. Whether it’s sharing stories of home with friends abroad or introducing them to the beauty of our landscapes, like the majestic waterfalls and vibrant markets, I carry a piece of my homeland with me. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
